Tony Backhouse BA, BMus played in bands for 17 years, notably NZ bands Mammal, Rough Justice, & the Crocodiles. Moving to Sydney, he played with Renee Geyer & Jackie Orzacsky before changing direction, foregoing the instruments, and founding the Cafe of the Gate of Salvation, the Honeybees & gospel quartet Heavenly Light Quartet. He now plays with bands Blessed Relief & the Bend.
